Space Cats Victorious!

Lady Etaski and Issmir of Ananke agreed that there should be a wrestling match between the Penumbrans and Ananke. The date and time were settled and at the appointed hour, the Penumbra SpaceCats assembled at the shuttle, ready for the journey, arriving at Ananke in style.

Sammy and Hanna represented Ananke.

Lady Etaski and Issmir fought first, a good match, with Issmir emerging as victor.

Next, Sammy faced Chief Medical Officer Minou, a battle which Minou, dominant throughout, won convincingly.

Next, Lady Brianna faced Hanna. This was a close, well-fought match, running to several extra rounds. Lady Brianna claimed the SpaceCats's second victory.

Lady Saazerac was next up for the SpaceCats, with Sammy wrestling for Ananke. Sammy put up a valiant fight, but it was Lady Saazerac whose moves gained Penumbra their third victory.

Next up, with another resounding win over Hanna, in three decisive rounds, was First Officer Ms Tari.

Kara, the Chief of Engineering, took on Issmir - and swiftly secured Penumbra's fifth victory.

Finally, the head of PR and Education, Kaneha, faced Sammy in the final battle of the match. It was another closely-fought bout, with Kaneha the victor, making a resounding win for the Penumbra SpaceCats of 6-1.

Gracious in their defeat, the Ananke team will now host an orgy for the victors. The Penumbra SpaceCats returned to their shuttle in triumph, delighted with the outcome.

The Source of All Power

Every space station has its heart, and the warp core which lies in Penumbra's depths is vital to keep it running smoothly and safely, and ready to withstand any attacks. Lady Etaski has recently installed a series of upgrades to the warp core to improve its functionality and efficiency, and is devoting time to ensuring that every crew member has at least a rudimentary comprehension of its workings and the manner in which the hydrogen-based power is diverted around the station.

The system really is a triumph of simplicity and efficiency, and will keep Penumbra powered for the foreseeable future. We are all very grateful to Lady Etaski and her extensive knowledge and skill.

Why Tea? A new class from the Education & PR department

Partly a history lesson, partly a "how-to", Kaneha gave attendees an overview of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and why the serving of refreshment is, and has always been, at the centre of hospitality and interpersonal communication. Aimed at the station's Nightshade students, yet accessible to all, the session covered a wide range of topics, from art, to landscaping, its focus always on connecting with one's guests, and, as always, prompted some thought-provoking discussion and comments.
