Workout Time!

For any craft or station to operate correctly, it requires a fit, healthy crew. Penumbra boasts an impressive fitness suite, and prides itself on its focus on the well-being of its personnel.

The Ladies or First Officer take the crew through a rigorous series of exercises, ensuring that all muscle groups are worked. Of course, this being Penumbra, it includes muscles which are not usually part of more conventional workouts.

The weekly session (on Thursdays) is open to the public, and the crew will be delighted to welcome you, should you decide to try it for yourself.

Darkness Rising...

Another look back over the Penumbran year.

MAY - In the darker reaches of space, a flurry of shuttles float around the station, waiting to dock. Inside, the green heart of Penumbra beats with the sound of DJ Dr Duke's Bad Girls set, as Ladies and subs take some time away from station duties for Darkness Rises, their celebration of Mistress Etaski. Lively chatter, dancing, and a succession of rocking tunes from Duke's all-female playlist create a fun and energetic event amonsgt the dome's trees and shrubs, with residents and guests joining together in true community spirit. The music finally fades, being replaced with Penumbra's usual soothing, classy background melodies, the order is given for the crew to get back into uniform and the shuttles begin to depart. Another wonderful Penumbra event is over, and the station slips once more into the half-shadow.

Unleash the Beach!

As summer draws to a close, Penumbra looks back on some of its wonderful events.

JUNE - Penumbra station buzzes with anticipation as the crew ready themselves for the next Duke in the Dome event. Gone is the lush grass, the dance floor now nestling in the centre of a beach. Waves lap against the sand and a gentle breeze dances through the blossom-laden trees, making them sway and rustle gently in the warm, climate-controlled environment. It's time for Unleash the Beach!

In the shade of the trees and surrounded by bikini-clad beauties, Dr Duke rocks the dome with an impressive playlist of beach tunes as the crew and guests welcome Lady Etaski back from her voyage to a far-flung part of the galaxy. The dome rings with the sound of banter and laughter, and the occasional click of a cuff or two, as well as Duke's fun trivia quiz.

Not even shedding their swimwear is sufficient to cool the dancers down, so what better way to end a scorching hot set than to wash the sand from between your toes in the Penumbra pool?
